CENTER CITY COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
May 3, 2005

Present: Larry Field, Marshall Field, Matt Fitzpatrick,Ken Lavallee, and Bill Lipchitz.

The meeting opened at 8:35 AM.

This meeting consisted of a discussion about the meeting with organization representatives held last week.

The people at the meeting on April 26th indicated the three most important functions that are needed are: Communication, Coordination, and Cooperative Marketing. They felt that the key ingredient to making it work is to have some kind of staff support.

The general feeling is that there is enough interest to move forward, and that the next steps are to provide some concrete examples of how the new organization could carry out the functions of communication, coordination and cooperative marketing, some examples of topics to address (e.g. downtown signage, marketing strategies) and to propose a preliminary structure.

The plan is to get this information together and send it to the organizational representatives for their feedback before calling the next meeting.
